Residentially based in Balikpapan and reporting to Supervisor Trade Training. You will assist to train & assess apprentices and TCI personnel in all aspects of mechanical in order to achieve maximum productivity with a high focus on safety and to ensure that TCI training requirements for tradesman personnel are being conducted in accordance with the TMS.
The scopes of your role will include but not limited to develop the skills proficiency of workplace trainers and assessors; coach apprentices in the use of learning resources especially for practical session; Conduct tradesman assessment activities in accordance with TCI TMS and relevant Australian competency standards; assist in the design of tradesman assessment material which is relevant to used competency standards; conduct tests and examinations for tradesman personnel; provide mentoring / coaching for workplace trainers and apprentices.
To be successful in this role you will requires recognized Trade and / or mechanical engineering Qualifications or ex Thiess Apprentices with Minimum of 4 years experience within the mining industry as heavy equipment tradesman; Certificate IV in Workplace Training; Experienced in Heavy earth moving equipment technical codes including truck and/or excavator/dozer/grader/wheel loader; ability to work effectively with others and related to colleagues and ability to cope with additional responsibilities; computer literacy and good in English communication skill -written and verbal.

Residentially based in Balikpapan Support Facility and reporting to the Supervisor Purchasing. You will create a safe workplace & free LTI in TCI Supply Chain Dept. especially at Purchasing Area; achieve OR/OC to OP and on time delivery targets; sourcing, evaluating, recommending, purchase and expediting order items to achieve team objectives.
The scope of your role will include but not be limited to ensure P1 or urgent orders are processed in timely manner; developing and maintaining current suppliers or new sources to get better cost saving and reduce the non - conformance report in purchasing; ensure good control, monitoring, communication and feedback to others; ensure all purchasing & logistics processes are followed (as TMS, agreement, regulation, etc); purchasing activity for spare parts, PEX, repair, warranty, fabrication, labor, test, calibration, etc of all unit/machine, also purchasing general items (civil & construction material, printing, consumable goods, etc) at all Thiess site; seek competitive on pricing, availability and best quality; monitor and update outstanding OR and OP revision; supply good meet the request date from site; expedite of OR to OP proceed; take corrective action for NCR.
To be successful in this role you will need to have a minimum Degree with minimum 1 year experiences in Purchasing/buyer; have commercial awareness; knowing spare parts/component of heavy equipment; knowing general order items (civil & construction material, printing, consumable goods, etc), unit down support; self confident; good communication skills (English & Bahasa); hard worker, honest, knowledge about purchasing of material; component & labour, negotiation skill, problem solving using analytical method, computer literate and communicative.
